Photo 52: Project Light | exploring color of light-4

July 28, 2013  •  5 Comments

This month in the Photo 52: Project Light blog circle we have been exploring the color of light. And what a month it's been! I have enjoyed it more than I expected. I love an exercise that really gets me to see the world in a new way.

This week we are exploring magenta/ RED light and I got really lucky on this one! One evening after dinner last week we looked out our front window and were struck by the weirdest glow outside. We ran out to see that a cloud over our house was catching the pink sunset in the west and reflecting it down all around us acting like a giant pink reflector. We were seeing the world through rose-colored glasses!

Photo 52: Project Light is a collaborative year long project I am working on with several other talented photographers. To see all of our submissions for this week just follow the links at the bottom of each blog post. (For more information on Project Light click on my premier post.)

Next click on over to visit Julie Kiernan and see her interpretation of magenta/red light. Then please continue around the blog circle to see all of our plays with light.

Incredible! What a beautiful way to end your day and I love how you captured your youngest admiring the sky!

I adore this mysterious image and unusual light! Your little one looks like she is transfixed by a UFO!
What a gift this cloud gave to you. So poignant, so magical. I love how transfixed she is!

I love this capture of your girls and the silhouette in the second is fantastic.
