Waikiki... At night when the shadows are falling
I hear your rolling surf calling
Calling and calling to me

                      ~Andy Cummings: Waikiki

This month for Photo 52: Project Light we are exploring light at different times of the day and this week is evening light. This month's topic has been a great one to share some vacation highlights. We had some beautiful evenings in Hawaii and Waikiki on this particular evening had spectacular light.

Photo 52: Project Light is a collaborative year long project I am working on with several other talented photographers. To see all of our submissions for this week just follow the links at the bottom of each blog post. (For more information on Project Light click on my premier post.)

Next click on over to the blog of my friend Stacey Vukelj and check out what evening light in NYC looks like to her. Then please continue around the blog circle to see all of our plays with light.

The one of your daughter is so sweet. I love the quiet moment you have captured and the framing of the trees around her is perfect. The colors in your last sunset are beautiful!

The image of your daughter in the trees/roots is lovely. The pop of red/pink against the natural browns! Lovely.

These are all spectacular. The colors in the sunset are amazing but I also just love your daughter in the trees. Amazing moment.

Love your images this week! The first is my favorite - there is something very magical about the way the roots and the light is framing her.
