Photo 52: Project Light | playing with artificial light-4

March 24, 2013  •  7 Comments

This is the last week of our month long topic playing with artificial light. It's been a while since I've posted a "painterly" image so I guess I'm due. This shot was fun because I set my tripod up as high as it would go then had my girl look up at the camera that was pointed down. Here we are illuminated by a recessed ceiling light directly above.

Photo 52: Project Light is a collaborative year long project I am working on with several other talented photographers. To see all of our submissions for this week just follow the links at the bottom of each blog post. (For more information on Project Light click on my premier post.)

Next please check out the amazing photography of my friend Sarah Roemer Davis then continue around the blog circle to see all of the plays with artificial light this week.

I love the triangle: you looking at your daughter, she looking at the viewer. The color palette and texture really make it distinctive and artistic. Lovely!

Love the texture, your embrace and that momma's gaze. Perfection!

I love how she is cradled in your arms and the "painterly" feel gives it such a classic, timeless feel.

What a sweet moment Lisa! I love this composition! Definitely a "painterly" feel about it!

Fun, carefree, creative - and yes, painterly, too!
